Liliana Moyano portrays Julie Vasquez in the highly-anticipated biopic series, “Su nombre era Dolores, la Jenn que yo conocí,” set to premiere on Univision January 15th. The series is based on the life of the legendary Mexican singer, Jenni Rivera. Liliana was born in Colombia and raised in Bogotá. After 14 years of living in the suburbs of the city, her parents moved to Miami looking for a brighter future for the family. After graduating from high school, Liliana enrolled in college to begin her studies of business administration in el Escorial, Spain. She did several programs abroad in Europe through her school; fascinated with the language and people, she decided to learn Italian and moved to Perugia. In 2004, Liliana graduated with a double degree in business administration and communication arts from St. Thomas University. Deciding what she wanted to pursue in her life, one of her instructors offered her to work some hours in the department of business, and in return she would obtain a full scholarship for her masters degree. In 2007, Liliana graduated with the highest score of her promotion with an MBA in International Business. Venturing into her new graduate life, Liliana realized she wanted to explore film school and moved to NYC to study acting for film in the internationally known school, New York Film Academy. After finishing her film program, she was recommended by a well-known director in Miami to try out for productions in South Florida. Shortly after three months of moving back to Miami, Liliana was offered a freelance job for the most popular morning Spanish show, “Despierta America” aired on Univision. She was able to realize her passion for food by working for “TV Hogar,” a very popular web based channel where she had two shows, “Lily Lite”, a healthy cooking show, and “Cocktail TV”, an entertaining show where cocktails of all kinds were improvised by Liliana and her star bartender. Since 2010, Liliana has established herself as an on-camera talent for, where she has interviewed familiar international personalities such as Jessica Alba, Andrew Garfield, Cameron Diaz, Emma Stone, Jamie Fox, Keanu Reeves, Danny Trejo, Kevin James, Salma Hayek, to name a few. In addition, she has also started “La Locura,” a weekly show highlighting the craziest moments of the sports world featured on Yahoo Sports. In 2014, she covered the World Cup from Brazil, for both the Hispanic and Anglo markets, hosting, producing and supervising post-production of various shows. In television she worked on “Burn Notice” and most recently landed a role on the hit Netflix series “Bloodline.” Liliana is currently in L.A., dedicating her full time to her Hollywood career.
