Ingrid Hoffman is the most renowned international Hispanic Chef- Her delicious recipes are continuously exhibited on exclusive shows like NBC’s “Today Show” and Univision’s “Despierta America,” as well as in major print media worldwide. Recently she was the Host of “Top Chef Estrellas,” the culinary competition of Telemundo. Ingrid Hoffman, who was born in Colombia, known on television for her shows, “Delicioso” on Galavision and Telefutura, and “Simply Delicioso” on The Food Network. Her book, “Simply Delicioso: A collection of Everyday recipes with a Latin Twist,” was published in February 2008 by Clarkson Potter. The Spanish version was titled: “Delicioso: una coleccion de mis recetas favoritas con un toque latino.” In 2013, she published “Latin d’lite: Delicious Latin Recipes with a Healthy Twist.” Hoffman, who was raised in Barranquilla, Cali, and Curaçao, learned to cook when she was a little girl alongside her mother, Yolanda Ibarnegaray, a Cordon Bleu Chef, who always worked in the world of gastronomy. For several years, Ingrid dedicated her time to modeling and acting, working on 16 telenovelas. In 1985, she moved to Miami where she opened an exclusive boutique in Coconut Grove, named “La Capricieuse.” Later on, Ingrid teamed up with her mother and two businessmen to open up her own restaurant. “Rocca” was the first restauraunt in Miami to cook on hot lava rocks. It opened in 1993 and quickly became a must go to for celebrities in Miami. Hoffman writes a monthly column for People en Español in which she exhibits delicious recipes. In 2013, she launched her cooking line with HSN. In 2009, she participated in a Got Milk? Campaign as part of Hispanic Heritage month. Her name belongs to the members of New York City’s Food and Education Fund, the board of Miami’s Amigos for Kids, Believe for Colombia Foundation, and the Humane Society. Ingrid is currently the spokesperson for Coca-Cola and she resides in Miami, Florida.
