LATINWE closes a deal with Giselle Blondet to host for TELEMUNDO’s “Gran Hermano,” (Big Brother) the reality show format that has been a worldwide sensation and will feature extensive content Monday through Friday on Telemundo, as well as a 24-hour live feed with all the action inside the house at Telemundo.com

(MIAMI – December 14, 2015) – Giselle Blondet joins TELEMUNDO as host of the highly-anticipated reality show, “Gran Hermano,” (Big Brother) which will be broadcasted for the first time on Spanish TV in the United States starting Sunday, January 10th at 8 pm/7c. After auditioning more than 5,000 men and women, a group of 14 strangers (seven men and seven women), will live together in a house isolated from the outside world. The house will be equipped with dozens of cameras and microphones, recording their every move for 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Every week, the houseguests will nominate which of them will be at risk of elimination, but the audience will ultimately vote which contestant will be kicked out. This will happen each week until there is one guest left. That guest will be crowned the winner and receive the grand prize of $250,000.

Giselle Blondet is one of the most recognizable personalities on Hispanic television with over 38 years of TV experience. She has successfully hosted reality shows, television specials, and starred in many soap operas. Blondet worked on over 15 soap operas with TELEMUNDO, and in 1997, the beautiful Puerto Rican became one of the first hosts of the successful morning show, “Despierta América” (Univision). Her charisma led her to host the popular Univision competition reality show, “Nuestra Belleza Latina,” for seven years until 2013 when she retired to do other projects. These projects include the launch of her own jewelry line, her bedding collection “Gi by Giselle Blondet,” and her second book entitled, “Tengo 50 … Y qué?!.” Giselle created the “Fundación Arte por la Paz” (Art for Peace Foundation) and was one of the celebrities who took part in the “Heart Truth Red Dress Collection” campaign during New York Fashion Week.

Apart from the Sunday episodes featuring the best moments of the week and eliminations, TELEMUNDO will air daily summaries from Monday to Friday at 11:30 pm/10:30c of what happens in the house. On Wednesdays at 7 pm/6c, viewers get a closer look into the houseguests’ privacy before the nomination ceremony where they elect which guests should be eliminated.
